How they Work

Each feed is like a subscription that can deliver headlines about many subjects, or just one. When you look at a feed you see what is new just by scanning headlines. When a headline interests you, just read the details that come in the feed for more info, or click the link to read the full page.

Types of Feeds

Ma.gnolia provides two kinds of feeds: original RSS and the newer Atom. RSS can be used in any application that reads feeds. Atom feeds can carry richer information, but only newer feed readers can understand Atom feeds. For both feed types, Ma.gnolia provides a full feed with lots of information, and a lite feed with just the basics.

You can see new bookmarks added to any Ma.gnolia member's collection or for any group.

Search Results

Each time you do a search, you can subscribe to the results. As new bookmarks are added to the system that fit your search, they will appear in the feed for the search. It's like having the search run for you automatically every time the feed is updated.

The feed for the Ma.gnolia blog makes it easy to keep track of what's happening. And for posts that interest you, just subscribe to the feed for that post to see all comments as they are added.
