The free beta version of Veenix TuneExplorer impressed me. It analyzed all the music in my iTunes music folder, categorized it according to genre and sub-genre, and according to energy level (style, beats per minute, etc.). It allows me to export these energy-based or genre-based playlists to my iTunes. But it has so many other features it will be tempting to run all my music from TuneExplorer.
