Melvil Dewey in Boston
Here's a Google map showing the locations of some of Melvil Dewey's work in Boston in the 1870s. I've been reading about Dewey (or Dui) a bit, on the theory that he is one of America's great life hackers, right up there with Ben Franklin. Unfortunately he was also a raging anti-semite and sexist, which kind of muddies up his legacy.
