  1. Visit I Am Legend (2007) I Am Legend (2007)

I liked this SO MUCH MORE than I thought I would. It's really entertaining and gripping all the way through. I had no idea.

  2. Visit Volver Volver

I wanted to like it more than I actually did. :(

  3. Visit Babel (2006) Babel (2006)

This really holds up well a second time. I think it's Pitt's finest dramatic performance, really. I do. Though of course it's the Japanese story-line I love the most.

  4. Visit The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008) The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008)

Okay, you know what? I don't care that it was more like a two-hour episode than it was an extension of the myth. I still loved seeing them be in love. Shut up.

  5. Visit Adventures of Augie March Adventures of Augie March

Book Number One on my quest to read Time's 100 best novels of all time. It was epic, that's for sure. If you can dive through the narrative, it's philosophically lovely.

  6. Visit The Dark Knight (2008) The Dark Knight (2008)

I don't care what you say, it was epic and wonderful. Sure, by the end, Christian Bale's Batman voice was on my nerves, and Heath Ledger made me uncomfortable, but in the powerful way. I thought it was wonderful.

  7. Visit Half Nelson (2006) Half Nelson (2006)

So good, but better if your life has been touched by the hopelessness of addiction.

  8. Visit The Rainbow Stories William Vollmann The Rainbow Stories William Vollmann

Up until page 200, I loved this book. Unfortunately, there are 500 pages and the last three hundred made my eyes bleed. Editing, anybody? There are lots of people who have written about their lsd trips better.

  9. Visit The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

This movie is shockingly good. Unlike the first one, that just retells the novel with good CGI, this one has characters with personality and good, clever writing. Oh, and an unbearably hot guy.

  10. Visit An Inconvenient Truth (2006) An Inconvenient Truth (2006)

If you would like to spend your day being totally depressed and giving up all hope, then this movie is for you! Al Gore will always be my President.
