The 9" version of the Eee has a better horizontal resolution (good for those sites that insist on a fixed 960px or so width (hi Apple, BBC.... damn near everyone)) and more SSD storage, but still has poor battery life. Also, explicit XP/storage tradeoff.

A nice recasing of a titanium PowerBook with a broken screen for use as a desktop. Doing this with my aluminium G4 is less pointful - the screen still works - and less easy - the ports are on both sides, not the back. Interesting though.

Finally, the Express gets a bump to modern networking speeds (802.11n rather than g), and the price stays the same, but no hard disk sharing over USB; that still needs an Extreme. Oh well.

One of these things is not like the other. It's the one that "had users file a bug on me to make Thunderbird’s new account dialog smaller, so they can get to the buttons."

Multitouch and some welcome speed and HD bumps (and the optional upgrades are much more reasonably priced- £30 for 250GB and £60 for 200GB @ 7200RPM for the base model) for the Pro are the main points.

This isn't actually that much about the environmental aspects, not as I read it, but it's a fascinating look at Asustek's factories in Suzhou, amongst other things. (Don't read the comments.)

The world catches up to 2lmc again. Well, actually, we would have loved something as easy as this, compared to our home server, a rickety old Linux box without even RAID. Wonder if there's UK availablity?

Covers a lot of the same points as I did in my Air post, but in a much more coherent essay-style manner (damnit). I think he's also a bit more forward-looking and optimistic than I was, though.

Another MacBook Air sceptic, at least for his own needs. I'm not sure the iPod touch upgrades count as a Christmas present, though, given the (SOX mandated?) charge for them.

Much as I hate linking to boingboing, the picture comparison to the 12" PB is good. People thought Apple wouldn't ship a subnotebook because of the optical drive; now it's because of the screen size.
