The vanishing personal site | Jeffrey Zeldman
Of course I've been tangentially wittering about this as I talk about personal aggregation (itself threatened by the likes of Friendfeed), but this is a good post about the death of the home page. To some extent it's stating the obvious, but then sometimes that's needed, especially for a change like this, which has been somewhat gradual. A fair amount of commentary, too; maybe there's more interest in this than I thought.

More theory. It starts with an excellent observation about site construction. A lot of what we're teaching is still behind the times on this. |
