2008 Gets Moving
And here we are, a brand new year, with the first month already coming to a close! This month has already been a busy one, with the Ma.gnolia crew convening at Macworld and rolling out a couple of neat new features that both look back at where we've been, but also forward to where the connected world is going.
Ma.gnolia Mobile Launches
Let's start by looking forward and... down? If you haven't noticed when you're out and about, there are a lot of people staring at their cellphones and smartphones. What are they checking out? Almost anything they want, because these days it's not uncommon to get the the whole web in the palm of your hand. But early adopters are feeling like it's 1999 all over again, with too many websites to remember and type in, and built- in bookmarking often feeling a little lonely.

At Ma.gnolia we don't ever want to slow you down or make you feel lonely, so we've got a sweet new interface built especially for the set that never stops moving. There's nothing special to set up - it's all included and turned on for everyone. Just point your iPhone, smartphone or any phone with a web browser to m.gnolia.com and sign in (OpenID works here, too).

The screenshot on the left is from an iPhone, and looks just as groovy on an iPod Touch. The capture on the right is from a Sony Ericsson. We want you to look good, no matter what phone you use! So what does this lean interface deliver?

You'll have access to your own bookmarks, of course, but also those of your contacts and groups, as well as your tags and a nifty search for quickly getting to your own stuff. And for those times you just want a little distraction, the popular recent bookmarks are also just a tap away.
The Vault of Newsletters Past
One of the most fun parts of the month for us is putting together and sending out the Ma.gnolia newsletter. It's a great way to keep in touch with members who don't follow the blog or visit the Pibb rooms, as well as a good chance for us to look back and take stock of what our days and some nights have added up to.

We've also gotten some great compliments on the look and content of the newsletter, and it seems a shame to not make them more available, especially to new members who wonder what we're about. To fix that, we've opened up the Vault of Newsletters Past, a special part of Ma.gnolia where we'll be posting newsletters after they're published.

Ready to open the vault? Just jump to http://ma.gnolia.com/newsletters, or look under the Discover menu.
