Uses of Ma.gnolia's Mirrord API (View All Discussions in this Group)
I got Cocoalicious working with Ma.gnolia!
I downloaded the source and am doing some tweaks to how ratings are dealt with to support Ma.gnolia's rating system, however if you want to check it out yourself grab the latest compiled binary from macupdate.com or versiontracker.com or the dev's website http://www.scifihifi.com/cocoalicious/
unfortunately the app hasn't been updated for the newest del.icio.us api so just changing the api in the preferences window only works for some people :/
a workaround is to enter http://your_username:your_password@ma.gnolia.com/api/mirrord/v1 as the api url then log in with a single space as both your username and password.
Very cool, Clayton! I was finally able to get Cocoalicious working. You may have noticed in your experiments, we here weren't doing proper time zone conversions and future dating your bookmarks. We've fixed this, though I did notice that Cocoalicious is sending a time an hour behind what it should. Perhaps it's not reading Daylight Savings Time properly?
When you finish making your updates to the app, please let us know. We'd love to announce it on our blog and let people know there's a desktop bookmarking app out there to use.
i've tried the quicksilver plugin and i can't seem to make it work.
it works just fine with my del.icio.us account.
on the other hand, on the ma.gnolia side of things, the scan returns no results.
any ideas ?
You might want to check out Chris's photoset on flickr showing the steps to make sure everything was covered right: http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/sets/72157594270631612/. If it still doesn't work, it sounds like we have something to investigate.
i did. i did check the photoset, after trying it alone, just to check if something could be missing.
i did it again, and it still doesn't work. it keeps working with del.icio.us, and not with ma.gnolia...
quicksilver hangs for about 20/30 secs, and returns zero results.
Hmm - I just cleaned out my ma.gnolia bookmarks from QuickSilver and was able to re-add them. I have about half the number of bookmarks but it only took about 30second to a minute, and I know larger numbers have worked before. I'm at a loss to see a clear problem.
I'm guessing that it could be a specific bookmark problem... maybe a bad character, bad encoding or something like that that's causing QS to choke... I wonder if it's... "debuggable"?
I'm having the same problem as maique. Since I have over 4000 bookmarks, it could very well be a bad character somewhere.
