BBC - R&D - Publications - WHP034: Colorimetric and Resolution requirements of cameras
Abstract: This document is intended to provide some of the background colour-science justification for the "BBC setup" conditions in some television cameras. Although aimed primarily at HDTV cameras and their use in attempting to mimic and thereby replace film usage, the colour-science applies equally to all forms of video cameras.
