Dweck is not an expert on Success. The Truth about publishing and academia!
Recently Carol Dweck, Professor at Stanford, published a book, titled, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. Her book is based on the premise that people have one of two mindsets: fixed or growth. Dweck's postulates a growth mindset based on 30 years of studying students. I find this ludicrous. How can studying students and how they acclimate to learning have anything to do with success in the real world? The book says more about publishing and academia than it does success. This article is a provocative and polarizing perspective.
