BBC NEWS | Technology | Net firms tackle Vista headache
“Windows Vista is causing problems for those trying to hook up a PC to a broadband net connection.” Sorry, but this takes the piss. I'm as game for bashing Windows Vista as the next man — it has many targets for abuse, after all — but for broadband companies not to have updated their software yet is not Microsoft's fault. The beta period was *huge*, not to mention that Vista was released to business customers in November. For ISPs only to look at supporting Vista now is chronically unprofessional. They're technology companies, they develop software, *it's their job* to develop software updates during the beta period. Amateurs.
