Ma.gnolia Blog: More from Mirrord: ma.gnolia2safari
[Updated: the download link for ma.gnolia2safari is fixed]
Another Mirrord conversion to announce today, this time for Safari users. Chris Messina has converted Christina Zeeh’s delicious2safari application to work with Ma.gnolia.
ma.gnolia2safari uses the magic of the using the Mirrord API to grab and add your Ma.gnolia bookmarks into Safari. With sweet tools like this, you can enjoy the benefits of social bookmarking without giving up on the speed of having them in the browser.
Chris added a really nice touch with the spiffy ma.gnolia2safari application icon. A man of many talents, he is.
Many thanks to Christina and Chris for sharing their work.
Want it? Grab it here.

I wonder how difficult it would be to add scheduled updates, so that the Safari bookmark list is essentially synched with the Ma.gnolia bookmarks? This would essentially give Safari Flock-like powers ...

;)
It wasn't too hard given Christina's existing work.
And the fine folks at Plasq.com (Comic Life) helped out with making it a Universal Binary.

What happened to this software? It doesn't seem to be available anymore.

It sounds like Safari 3 and ma.gnolia2safari don't play too well together. We'll get in touch with the people who brought it to life and see if they can provide some insight or an update.

We've posted a newly compiled version of magnolia2safari. Can you download that and give it a try?

how "should" this work, On OSX 10.4.11 when i try to open magnolia2safari on my desktop the error comes: You cannot open the application "magnolia2safari" because it is not supported on this architecture. This is an iBook G3, so not intel either.

The app won't even launch on my Leopard 10.5.2 MacBook Pro with Safari 3.1. Any chance there'll be an updated build of this?

I now upgraded to a used G5 quad core with leopard running and it does as David says, just crashes at application startup...
