Chili's Grill & Bar is doing a fund-raiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital during the month of September. Nicole said that they had a bunch of food left over from Versailles. She was able to donate 5 large metal trays of Cuban food to OPCC. Yum! Donna said that they were very happy to receive the food at the shelter and thanked ThisNext and Giving 2.0 for making the donation.

t all started when I dragged Terry Chay, kicking and screaming, to BarCampBlock last weekend. We had a fun time there and while walking over to The Blue Chalk Cafe for BarCampBlock’s party Terry mentioned Lunch 2.0 was going to be at Spock on Wednesday, today. Spock is in Redwood City, so I decided that wasn’t too far for me to drive for a chance to go to Lunch 2.0. So, I said I would go.

We are here to give artists like us opportunities to create, to promote themselves and to better society by contributing designs for apparel that can be purchased on our site. A portion of the proceeds from each item sold will go to a charity of the buyer’s choosing. A cause for design, plain and simple. Areas of interest include: boards, development and fundraising, disaster relief, ethical issues and standards, evaluation and accountability, legal environment, organizational issues, organizational histories, relations with government and the private sector, staff issues, how to start a nonprofit, statistics, and volunteer issues. Charities include churches, schools, and hospitals in their aspect as organizations. So far there's not much on these pages, but we'll be modifying them more as Giving 2.0 progresses.
